For regular readers, remember the days when my posts would be clever, whimsical and humorous to read?....well this won't be one of them ...
Dear Jeff - you don't know me from Adam, but I used to live in Roanoke Rapids. I have since moved to Virginia but I saw the notice of Joe's death on John Lawson's facebook and started to read your blog. By the time I finished reading I felt like I knew you and Joe personally and was incredibly sad to know that he had passed on. I just wanted you to know that your posts on the blog were very moving; I loved the sense of humor you and Joe had pretty much through the whole ordeal. I am very sorry for your loss. Susan Southard, Orange, Virginia
